Mike Giant (born August 27, 1971, in upstate New York) is a multifaceted American artist renowned for his contributions to graffiti, tattoo artistry, illustration, and graphic design. Relocating to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1979, Giant was immersed in subcultures like BMX, skateboarding, punk rock, and hip-hop, which profoundly influenced his artistic trajectory.
He pursued architecture at the University of New Mexico before moving to San Francisco in 1993 to work as an illustrator for Think Skateboards. In 2003, he co-founded the streetwear brand REBEL8, merging his artistic vision with fashion.
Giant's distinctive black-and-white illustrations, often rendered with Sharpie markers, draw from diverse influences, including Chicano culture, religious iconography, and tattoo aesthetics. His artworks have been showcased in galleries worldwide, such as bG Gallery in Santa Monica and Black Book Gallery in Colorado.
Currently based in Dayton, OH, Mike Giant continues to produce art that reflects his deep engagement with subcultural movements and personal philosophies.
