Blake Jones

Blake Jones (b. 1988, Texas) is a Chicago-based artist celebrated for his whimsical, wide-eyed characters and vibrant color palettes. His work spans various mediums, including prints, paintings, sculptures, and murals, often depicting complex worlds inhabited by his iconic characters.

Jones studied Fine Arts & Design at the Art Institute of Houston, graduating in 2010. He transitioned from a corporate illustration career to focus on fine art, leading to exhibitions across the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, and Europe. Notable solo shows include “Just Between Us” at Bridge Mogura Gallery in Tokyo and “Good Luck, Have Fun” at Streams Gallery in Hong Kong.

In 2024, Jones presented “B-Sides,” his first solo exhibit at Vertical Gallery in Chicago, channeling his lifelong passion for music into an immersive multimedia showcase. His playful characters have also been featured in collaborations with brands like Soho House, UVD Toys, Threadless, McDonald's, Budweiser, and Mountain Dew. 

Jones continues to create art that celebrates nostalgia, music, and the fusion of diverse cultural influences, contributing to public art projects and curating exhibitions that reflect his dynamic artistic vision.
